Differences Between Whey Protein Types

Whey Protein Concentrate
According to the USDA, dry whey protein concentrate is between 25 percent and 89.9 percent protein, and contains no more than 10-percent milk fat.
Whey Protein Isolates
Whey protein isolate contains at least 90 percent protein, and it contains less lactose than whey protein concentrate.
Whey Protein Powders
Protein powders may include whey protein concentrate or whey protein isolate. Powders will also include flavorings for taste and additives that enhance post-workout recovery.
