Calories:280   Protein: 12 grams

You Will Need:

For the Sauce: 1 cup of water, 1 big tomato, 1 onion, garlic, 3 tbsp of lemon juice, 3 tbsp of Tabasco sauce, salt and coriander.

For the vegetarian meat balls: 35 grams of burgol, 24 grams of  Texturized vegetable protein (TVP), 1 tbsp of olive oil and salt.

And 45 grams of whole wheat pasta.

Finely chop the tomato and onion and add them in a cup of boiling water in a medium size pot. Add the spices and cook on high uncovered 20 minutes, then for another 20 minutes on low and half covered.

For the meat balls veggie style, mix the burgol and TVP with 1 cup of water, 1 tbsp of olive oil and some salt and cook in a rice steamer. Once ready, let it cool down in the refrigerator so that you can shape them without burning yourself. Wet your hands now and then when rolling the mixture because it tends to stick to your hands.

Cook the pasta separately and when everything is ready, first put the pasta on the plate, then top it with some meat-balls and pour the sauce on top. Yummy!!
