Because of its high content of vitamin and mineral, mint is a powerful antioxidant and it is vital for a healthy body.  It contains these vitamin/mineral: A, C, B12, thiamine, folic acid and riboflavin, manganese, copper, potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, fluoride and selenium.

Folic acid in mint influences an optimal hormonal functioning in women and it can be directly related to mood swings when a deficiency occurs.
